West Lafayette Reviews

The strongest pros for this place after my 11 years spent here are fairly low crime, low traffic, cultural variety. It's so easy to get around to all amenities, and schools are great. Purdue provides main entertainment as local art and music is of quite low profile.
For us, foreigners, it's an easy place to live as Purdue is very popular with foreign students and teachers. To me, all the pros end here. The level of sports and arts is very limited if you wish your children advance in those.
For any serious hobby you might have, Indianapolis is a closest place to go (at least 1 hr drive), with Chicago being next, and that's already 2.5 hr stressful drive on average. The town worked hard on improvement of trails for biking/walking, mostly not protected from strong sun or wind. The town is not really walkable. Small businesses do not thrive here. Boring flat terrains with mostly agricultural lands around. The closest decent parks/lakes are also at least 1.5 hr drive.
Review West Lafayette
West Lafayette is a clean environment of which fosters a sense of safety and reliability. West Lafayette is a culturally diverse community, in which offers a wonderful look into lives of those who came from different countries other than the United States. West Lafayette is the host of Purdue University, which fosters education to at least 40,000 students, consisting of international, local, and out of state individuals.
Pretty quite small town, not that many people. However you can find almost everything you need around West Lafayette. You can find many delicious restaurants here, especially the Japanese and Chinese food. One of the american top engineering university is located here. For the shopping, besides the Walmart and target, Tippecanoe Mall is a not bad choice.
