West Lafayette Reviews
Rating 3.87 out of 5 157 reviews
I have lived in West Lafayette for almost 1 year and the experience has been nothing short of good for my physical and mental well-being. However, if you enjoy the big city life, the sight of skyscrapers and rolling hills and mountains, I definitely would not recommend that you move here.
Life generally moves at a slower, more sedate pace over here than in most places I've lived and visited within and outside the U.S. I enjoy taking long, reflective walks here and just soaking up the summer sun, so if you love hiking and being able to access everything with a 15-minute drive, you might love it here. It's generally safe around here as the crime rate is low compared to most other places in the US; this makes it a family-friendly place!
Altogether, hoping for more businesses to be built here to increase the youth population of this town. It has some good potential, I'll say!

This city is extremely nice and clean, with diverse activities plentiful. It contains Purdue University, and thus, is well funded and generally safe. This is not a 5 star review due to the weather (is very cold and snowy in the winter) and the architecture not being particularly beautiful (everything is brick; build something new)!
I love the rural Indiana scenery! The corn fields rival the beauty of the ocean, in my opinion! There are many rivers and creeks to be seen everywhere you go with many areas for pedestrians to explore and exercise themselves and their pets. The downsides are many, however. Downtown is crowded with loud students from Purdue University, there are not many stores or places to shop, there are few restaurants, and too many highways!
