West Islip is a very nice, well maintained neighborhood with friendly, spirited residents. Although it is not the mot diverse area in suffolk county, the public schools, and overall safety should receive more than a 5 star rating. I attended the public schools, and feel as though they prepared me to face the challenges of College and career life.

Small residential town bordering Bayshore and Babylon main streets. Taxes are high because no industry really resides in this town. Very clean, safe, friendly neighborhood. Great schools with exceptional athletic programs.
West Islip is a small Suberban town located on Long Island. West Islip is a friendly environment where I have always felt safe. Although Traffic in the town may occasionally be a pain there is still lots to do!
