The best place to live in CT - coming froma lifelong CT resident. Upscale town, dead center of CT. Great things to do in your backyard. Outstanding restaurants- you will have your dining standards lifted when you dine out in WeHa. Great schools - our public schools are like the private schools of others. Town services, people, everything. A great town for a family!

Town is well run, and your property holds its value.

Only complaint is the taxes, but with taxes comes exclusivity. Keeps the bar of entry a bit higher - and the quality of residents higher as well.

West Hartford is a perfect town for anyone! I lived in West Hartford since 2006 and have never looked back since. The town has lots to offer to anyone especially its main retail destinations. West Hartford offers Bishops Corner, Corbins Corner, Blue Back Square and the West Farms Mall which offers a variety of places to choose from. The schools here are probs the best in the state with Conard High School being among the top in the state. Housing in West Hartford varies a lot, with some homes averaging 200k to 700k and even some greater than that. Honestly, is a perfect town for any young adult who is finding a place that offers lots of destinations and is near Hartford
Overall, my experience in West Hartford was great. I lived in there for five years and I attended Conard High School, which is rated the second best public school in Connecticut. In addition, job opportunities were outstanding! Throughout the five years I lived there, I worked as a Chiropractic assistant at a Wellness Center and I also worked for West Hartford Municipal Parking, which is impressive for a high schooler at the time. Furthermore, the town has the best first responders making the town safe. On the contrary, West Hartford's property tax rates are absurd and extremely expensive in comparison to other towns. However, I would rather pay the high property taxes and be able to live in a safe neighborhood with the best schools and great job opportunities!
