West Frankfort teaches you that not everything in life is going to be peachy. Our town has taken a turn for the worst, but it does keep you humble. I know most kids complain about going here, but for me I would not of wanted to go anywhere else. It teaches you how to act in all honesty. Most of us do not act like we are spoiled and it makes you make friends with everyone because the school is so small. There is not a face you will not talk to at least once, and I think when your in high school, you should have to talk to everyone. People from other schools will never meet some of the kids in their school, and that is something I would never want to experience.

West Frankfort is a quiet little town for the most part. We still have all the old-time buildings on main, and kids drag main all the time. Most of my family still lives here. There isn't much to do unless you drive a ways away but it's nice and you get to know your neighbors well. Everyone should help their neighbors when they need help to help better our community and world.
Though, there is certainly a lack of diversity here in West Frankfort . There are still good people living within this community. West Frankfort struggles with addiction, job opportunities like many other small mid-western towns.
