Parnassus Book Store is hands down one of the best second hand book shops on the east coast It has been around for nearly 60 years. They specialize in rare and used books but they do stock newer books as well. You walk in to the store and there are books from floor to ceiling. Perfect way to spend a rainy day! I have spent hours in there pouring over the shelves. It's run by a family as well! The manager now has worked there for over 30 years. She is also part owner of it with two of her brothers, they inherited it from their father who sadly passed away in 2012.

Cape Cod in general is a seasonal place. It is very popular from Memorial day to Labor day, maybe Columbus day but after that it is like a ghost town. A lot of businesses here are seasonal because they can't afford to be open year round. For me as a student, I had two summer jobs last summer and made quite a bit of money. However I can see how it would be hard to find a job in the off season.
