The place and people are very nice here! Although the weather can get hot and humid sometimes, the river is always there for cooling off. You can go tubing, kayaking, or just take a swim. It also has a top-ranked zoo. The Botanical Entrance is located in West Cola., and it includes a splash park for children, and lovely gardens to walk in. The city has also been working to build up shops in an area called the Vista, and shops are springing up everywhere.
West Columbia is a growing city with a lot of potential! There are many new local businesses including eateries, entertainment venues and shops.
I was raised and grew up in West Columbia, it is my hometown. My experience have been bitter sweet, there will always be bit of a negative wherever you may go or live. The bright side of West Columbia are the many restaurants lined up close to one another, there will always be something new and tasty to try if you already have not. My negative experiences would be about any others, how busy the streets can get at a certain time of the day and personally for me it would be the amount of homeless people that dwell in the pretty parks of Downtown Columbia.
