Personally, I love the city of West Bloomfield. Having moved hear from Novi a few years back, I was skeptical of it. However, upon arrival I had realized that I really liked the city. The operative word I would use to describe West Bloomfield is 'safe'. I feel very safe here; almost anywhere I go in the city I feel right at home. As a student at West Bloomfield High School I can say that it is great. The teachers are very helpful and dedicated! One improvement would be more sidewalks! I love to walk around and enjoy the beauties offered by West Bloomfield, these walks would be much better with sidewalks!
I like that West Bloomfield is close to the city, but you still feel secluded from the hustle and bustle of city life. You can be driving and it looks like you are in the country, but a few miles down the road there are shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. It is surrounded by many beautiful lakes so outdoor activities are big during the summer. I also like that it is so diverse. There are many different cultures and backgrounds in every neighborhood. Although there are many diverse cultures, everyone has a great sense of community and is very friendly. Overall, I think West Bloomfield is a great place to live!
We moved here a year and a half ago. It's a very nice relaxed neighborhood. The parks are absolutely amazing, and there are so many of them. The only down-side for me is that my family and friends are more North East of West Bloomfield, and now my job is as well - the roads to and from, with relation to North East Suburban Detroit Areas, are a bit rough.
