I moved to Wesley Chapel in 2004 from a town in New Jersey. I consider it my home town for all intents and purposes, and I feel proud in saying so. Wesley Chapel fostered me from the time I was a first grader to the time I was a senior in high school. The local elementary school was filled with teachers who supported their students and were truly passionate about what they were doing. As I made my way into high school, that same mentality prevailed. There is a large shopping center in the middle of the town that hosts plenty of shops and restaurants, and the housing developments in the area are great. Proud to say I was able to grow up here.

Weddington is a tight-knit community. It's one of those areas where everyone knows each other and you'll see people you know about everywhere you go. The top businesses where I live would be Target, Starbucks, Hickory Tavern and Harris Teeter but many other businesses around here are great as well. Not only does our community have a great area but we also have shopping centers and that will provide everything from adults to teens to kids. Grocery stores, gyms, the movies, hang out spots, and dining are top. Weddington really is a great place, no wonder it's getting more populated!
When I first moved into the area, the only available "restaurants" was the dominos down the road. As the town started to expand, more options were available. We have chain restaurants such as Hickory Tavern and Chickfila available, however we also have small family owned restaurants. My favorites include Brooklyn Pizza, a NY style pizza restaurant that get's crowded every friday and sat nights; Greco Fresh grille, a greek restaurant owned by a family that lives in the area; and Sabor Latin Grill, a latin restaurant that originated in Charlotte and serves a variety of Mexican and South American food. As far as late-night cuisine, most people satisfy their cravings by driving 20 mins out into Monroe, NC to fast food restaurants such as Mcdonalds, Cook out, or Taco Bell.
