Wellman is a small town with a big heart for community. Wellman may be small, but what they lack in size they make up for with an enormous community mindset and way of life. You can chat easily and kindly with all of your neighbors, you may even be friends with them, or even family!

it's a tiny town that never changes and never will. The lifelong residents here are opposed to change and outsiders. But it is a safe community of religious zealots and lower-middle class families. Everyone knows everyone, but behind closed doors are quiet secrets and closeted metal heath issues. The school system is the best in the state, and the school board does try very hard to keep it that way. Its a dying town in a dying state, but it is trying to die gracefully
I love that Wellman is such a small town and everyone knows everyone. I’ve lived here my entire life as have my parents. The town unites together is a tragedy strikes or something is needed. .
