I love Weirton, WV for many positive reasons. The public schools are very close to all the homes in the city so getting to school is very easy while offering a great education. The diversity is wonderful both in and outside of school and offers opportunities for students' minds to be open to multiculturalism. The city is on the smaller side so everyone knows everyone which makes things like going to the store enjoyable. Weirton is also neighbor city to other great cities, this allows for kids to become friends with many other schools while also growing
Little opportunity for career growth, very conservative beliefs, little diversity, poor healthcare systems, horrible school systems, little for kids to do and an aging population make this a terrible small town to raise a family.
It is great overall; however, there is a lot of drug use. For example, there are multiple parks for children, but sometimes there are sketchy people.
