Waynesburg is a basic little town. There's not very much to do and I would love to see this change. The town has quickly began to grow in population, as the Waynesburg University has bought a lot of the empty buildings. The college is the biggest part of our town. There's not much for students or families to do.. Our biggest store is a Walmart and our only sit-down restaurant is a Bob Evan's; we have dozens of car dealerships though!
Like many rural areas, Waynesburg is plagued with drug addiction and petty crime. Additionally, increasing gas mining has turned the downtown area into a war zone of large trucks, noise, and damaged roadways. The best part of this town is Waynesburg University which maintains their campus beautifully.
Waynesburg Is an up and coming town. We keep the small town feel alive while "upgrading" the area. Housing prices are very reasonable with surrounding cities. We are also in the middle of 2 major cities, having only at most a 45 min drive. Our town vibe is more of a country sheek and it works very well here.
