The small town of Waynesboro is very friendly. Honestly I did not know what to expect when I first moved to this town for work. Being honest I did not pick this town because it had a lot to do or it was the most attractive town it just made more sense financially. As I moved in and got use to the area I noticed that this is a town that takes a lot of pride in its self. there are always fun events in the Square(Down Town), people are friendly , and they are big on improving the quality of life here. I bought my house in an area that was currently in the developing process. For about a year I lived on a back street with 3 other houses. Now I have houses all in my subdivision being sold before construction is complete. Every small business I have walked into here has always been a pleasure. I am black and it is not many around here so I thought I was going to feel uncomfortable but I was extremely wrong. and I have noticed Diversity in the community.

Waynesboro, Pennsylvania is a small, quite, picturesque town in south central Pennsylvania. Waynesboro is within driving distance of many big cities such as Gettysburg (40min), Philadelphia (3hrs), Pittsburgh (2.5hrs), Baltimore (1hr), New York City (4hrs), Harrisburg (1 hr), and Washington D.C (1.5hrs). The town of Waynesboro its self is small with a population around 10,000 people. There are four public elementary schools, one public middle school, and one public high school. There is a local private catholic elementary/middle school as well. Waynesboro is an all around safe community as far as crime is concerned, but the town is located in a county that has high drug overdose rates.
I have been living in Waynesboro for the past 17 years and it's a lovely small town. There's not much crime, not overcrowded, and is a tight-knit town that many come back to to raise a family. However, Waynesboro is not very diverse in any sense. It is a town of conservative, white, Christian people. If you want to experience what the world is like, Waynesboro does not offer you that view.
