When we moved from the larger city of Augusta, GA we were looking for a small town country atmosphere. Waynesboro, GA is a quaint little town, sitting beside fields of peanuts, cotton, and rows of pecan trees. It is a beautifully fragranced area because of all the Magnolia and Jasmine in bloom, and when they are not in bloom something else is always growing and smelling just a fresh and beautiful. Waynesboro, GA is gorgeous during all seasons of the year, it is fresh and clean when it rains, it is hot and sunny most of the year, but it's little and everyone knows everyone! If you like hunting, fishing, and just living a small town country life, and enjoying all the things God put here for you to enjoy, then "Welcome to the bird dog capital of the world." It's our little bitty slice of Heaven, close enough to drive to the big city, but small enough to be tucked away in a precious corner of Georgia's Burke County.

I have been living in Waynesboro for 22 years. Waynesboro is a little town made up of no more than 5,000 people. It's safe and welcoming to need comers and a great vacation spot. Many people pass through and collect souvenirs to take home. Waynesboro is pretty cool though one improvement that would make a major difference is a place for the youth. Most of our crimes are committed by the youth who just don't have nothing to do. A nice, friendly youth center would do some justice. It can consist of games both fun and educational, tutors and mentors, and different trips so the youth can see there's more out there.
What I like about this town is its the historical houses located in the area and the old buildings located on main street. All of them their huge beacons of history for our a small town. What I wish there was more of is places where families and people can get together and spend time with each other than in a fast food restaurants. Waynesboro has plenty of fast food place but I wish they would open up a movie theater or a skating rink or something along those lines. A place where people could spend their time in a safe environment rather then partaking in activities that could get them in trouble.
