Personally I have never had a problem with Wayland, It is a fairly small town with not much around. I would like to see more community involvement when it comes to things like cleaning up after storms or just cleaning up the town in general. The town is pretty safe on rare occasions break ins and things like that happen but it is once in a blue moon not every day or week. The local police post and fire Department are really close by when living in town. Overall a pretty great small town to start off in.
Wayland has been a great place to live! It is a tight knit community, with friendly neighbors, that are always willing to lend a hand. The community is always putting on events for everyone to enjoy. And the downtown district has slowly been growing, and becoming a great place to enjoy on any day of the week!
It is a well-kept, diverse community with very outgoing public servants and close-knit neighbors. It is unlikely that you will go into any establishment in Wayland without seeing at least one friendly face. There is a nightly curfew for minors to ensure their safety, as well as multiply community events during the day throughout the year. Examples include Main Street Celebration, Art Hop, weekly farmers markets, Kiwanis Day, family friendly Park Parties, and movie showings at the Henika District Library.
