Waverly has recently gotten a bit of a bad reputation, but it’s honestly a nice community. If tragedy strikes, everyone pulls together. Every town has its flaws-even the “nicest/richest” areas. I’ve lived in the country, just outside of Waverly for 20+years and I kind of love it!
This is a small town and has a friendly atmosphere with small town values . There is large cities within 60 miles of this town so there is lots of options close by, for shopping and entertainment. There also is several state parks in the surrounding areas for outdoor activities which includes boating and camping and hiking. We also have several wineries that makes a wonderful selection of home grown grapes and wines
Waverly is a very small town with few residents. There are nice parts of town like Bristol Village and the stadium, but there are also very uncomfortable places like the park and Walmart. There is also a drug problem in and around Waverly that has yet to be acknowledged. Either it is ignored or somehow no high ranking officials notice it, but it most certainly is not being dealt with. The school is also very poor with little care for the students and way too much emphasis on football.
