Waverly Reviews

I have lived in Waverly since I was 7 years old (currently 17.) One thing I can say about this town is that it is the perfect town to raise a child and start a family. As someone who grew up here, I can say it is a very safe and responsible town with trustworthy eyes everywhere. Along with this the local school district Waverly-Shell Rock is not only one of the best public schools in the state in terms of standardized education it is also athletically dominant and backed by the community every step it takes. About 9 years ago a new middle school was built after a flood brought down the old one. Along with that building two new elementary buildings are being built which means that your child will have access to the nicest schools in the area. Overall I must say Waverly is one of, if not the best place to live in north east iowa.
Waverly is great college town. Lots of opportunities to get involved with the community outside the campus. While some local establishments providing entertainment have been shut down due to COVID-19 or other problems, there is still plenty to keep college kids entertained.
Waverly Iowa is a nice small town with multiple areas of interest. There are many small businesses and restaurants that I have been able to go to. One thing I would change about the town would be the amount of people here. I feel like I know a lot of people here, but in reality I do not. I come from a smaller town and know absolutely everyone, so it would be cool to know everyone here as well.
