I have lived in Wauwatosa for 3.5 weeks now. The neighbors in my small area are very friendly. I love how this part of Milwaukee has kept up their curb appeal. The old houses are beautiful and make for a beautiful walk of 'sightseeing' around the town. For runners, dog walker and all alike, I simply would like to see sidewalks on the roads that do not have them. Wauwatosa seems to be a very safe, family friendly place. It is clean and has plenty of recreational areas to enjoy. I love the parks, kids playing, dog friendly streets with grass and trees. The area is beautiful, and I can only imagine the beauty that comes this fall!

Wauwatosa is the perfect town to live and raise a family. The schools, restaurants and parks are within walking distance and there is an abundance of them. The town has a lot of charm with Victorian style homes dating back to the 1700's. Overall its a really nice town, super safe, and perfect for new families. The only downsize is that the town is expanding and becoming a hot spot for people to flock to so the cost of homes are raising, so if you're planning on moving here do it fast!
Close to everything, middle of the city, friendly, clean area, know sometimes as the nice part of Milwaukee. Either the Governor, or the governor's father lived just a few blocks from me for many years. Wauwatosa is right on the main bus lines. There is lots of entertainment and restaurants, its filled with parks and nature. Farmers market in summer. Home to one of the top 5 most prestigious hospitals in all of Wisconsin.
