Watson, Louisiana has an excellent school system that offers their high school students AP classes to help prepare them for college. The town is small, but is constantly growing. New neighborhoods are created every day in Watson due to the fact that so many people love our town and desire to live here. We are close to the rural part of Livingston Parish so if someone loves hunting, mud riding, or fishing than they live in the right place. Or if someone loves the city than we are close enough to Baton Rouge and Denham Springs that citizens can enjoy the city life too.
Watson is a fantastic community to raise a family. It has reputable schools and is a fast-growing bedroom community of Baton Rouge that has expanded quickly, perhaps a little bit too quickly, over the past decade or so and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. It maintains small town charm while being a respectable distance from the bigger cities of Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
I love how close everyone it the Watson community is and how supportive everyone is of eachother. Everyone in Watson is super friendly and every where you go you almost always see someone you know. The one thing I dislike about Watson is that it’s such a small town that it’s hard to leave once you graduate because there’s not very many opportunities in the area to get out and explore.
