Waterville has improved a lot in the sixteen years I've lived here; the downtown area has some great restaurants and shops now. The downside is that this is a very "local" kind of town -- not really a place that people move to, more a place that people stay in their whole lives. If you're from "away," it can be kind of hard to integrate.

This town is in the process of re-growing. We have more restaurants coming into town along with Colby College investing in the city of Waterville and putting residence halls in downtown Waterville along with building an even better campus. They are investing a ton into their students including great financial packages. I think this town will eventually have a ton to offer. Its great to see the town revitalizing.
It's not the best, but its home for now. That's life, you cannot always get what you want when you're first getting on your feet. My dream is to move to Florida. Waterville has given me a good taste of what the "city" life is all about. I almost feel spoiled when I can order-out at 12 A.M, compared to my home town friends who cannot order out past 8 P.M! Its not the worst, but its not the best!
