I am currently a student living in Watertown South Dakota as I complete my school scheduled clinical hours at the Prairie Lakes Hospital. I have lived in Watertown for most of the year and have been nothing but satisfied with the community. Great health care, community resources, and a friendly atmosphere sums up just a few of the great qualities of Watertown South Dakota has to offer. The town also offers many big name consumer stores and restaurants for people utilize and enjoy. Watertown has a little bit of everything anyone would need to feel comfortable and live well. I will be continuing my education next year, so unfortunately, I will have to move out of Watertown for awhile. However, when I am completed with my education, I would highly consider moving back to Watertown South Dakota.

I have lived in Watertown for over 18 years, I think that this is a prospering community with a flourishing housing market, a wonderful public school system and above all a very safe place to reside. Watertown is a cheap place to live compared to Sioux Falls or neighboring towns and has an incredible healthcare system. Because of the size of the town, there is hardly a commute to and from work. With this size, however, Watertown suffers from a lack of nightlife or entertainment that does not involve the casinos. Finally, Watertown has a booming career market that is able to encompass many areas of expertise. I give Watertown four stars because of its wonderful housing market, job market, and public school system.
Watertown is the perfect size to raise a family. with only 20,000 people, there is alot of family friendly activities. We have Brambel park zoo, there is a very nice public pool and we also have a Thunder Road amusement park. If you like the outdoors there are multiple activities such as a great trail system around the lake and in town. Fishing in these parts is amazing. The people here are very friendly and helpful. The school system for children is very organized.
