Watauga, I would say is an overall safe neighborhood, it is relatively small. The houses in Watauga are pretty affordable, there are many great starter homes for young families. There is a nice park called Capp smith park, for taking your kids to play, going to work-out, taking your dog on a walk, etc. There are many places to eat nearby as well.
Sucks. There's no comparison between Watauga and Tarrant County in general and Dallas. If you want an area with zero culture and no community, come here. Prepare to get bled on property taxes, too.
