I live in a small town so most of the businesses in the area are small family owned or franchised like McDonalds. I love living in a small area with family owned businesses because it shows that if you have a dream and work hard, you can achieve that goal.
There is a mix of friendly and not so friendly people. There is a lot of older people who live here so people usually strike conversation with you. There is a lot of community support for local high school sports.
I work at a family owned restaurant. I've grown up going to eat there and would always get there french toast with butter and sugar and their bacon. Now I work there and still love going out to eat. It is connected to a country store where they make homemade dessert and breads. Their homemade fudge is the best I've ever had.
