For a small town, Bellville feels very much like Mayberry. You are close enough to drive a very short distance to Mount Vernon, Mansfield, Ontario, and Columbus, all successively larger towns.

Bellville, being a small town where everyone knows everyone, has some of the most dependable, relatable, friendly, and available police in the entire area.
There are car shows and parades downtown occasionally and a carousel in the city. The major attractions are in outskirts of the metropolitan area. Canoeing, hiking, fishing, boating camping take place 15-30 miles from the city.
