It was a very peaceful area! I lived here when I first moved to Ohio, and it is pretty safe. It is close to many of the local places I go to like the Centerville Library or whatnot. Great place to live!
A wonderful area where students go to Centerville City Schools. There are many parks, places to eat, small businesses, and a great place to live. I grew up here and am always happy to come home every time I am on a break in college.
Centerville is a strangely diverse little community. It's roots go way back. In fact, each little sign that welcomes you to the City of Centerville reads, "Ohio's Largest Collection of Historic Stone Buildings." But at the same time new developments are springing up all over the place. The schools are great, there's good work around, who wouldn't want to live here? Also, land's pretty cheap. It's the Midwest. It's a cool mix of old and new. Also, we have white families who've lived here forever, black families that are moving in (usually from closer to downtown Dayton), Arabs (Dayton was mentioned in Time for being safe haven for Arab fugitives/immigrants). There are strong Islam and Indian communities. Don't worry, they're all really friendly.
