Small town, friendly people. 30 min drive to Hillsboro or newport for shopping. Only elementary school. After that the kids get bussed to Hillsboro-Deering schools. One local general store incase you don't want to drive to Hillsboro. People keep to themselves and there is very low crime issues. There is a volunteer fire and emergency response. Camp Morgan in the summer which is day camp for kid's.

Washington, NH is a great place to live or visit for someone that wants to get away from the city and experience the outdoors. There are beautiful lakes and ponds with lots of hiking to do for any level. More often than not you will find many animals once you start adventuring off the paved road. Moose and black bears are a common sight in this town. A great place for someone that wants to get away from it all.
Washington is a small town in the "middle of nowhere". It's natural beauty is surrounded by lakes, hiking trails, and woodlands. I would live here for the rest of my life if I could. I would love to see the town get a middle and high school, as right now it only has an elementary school. It would also be great if it could become more dependent on renewable energy and create a local economy.
