I'm a born and raised "Pensacolian." I love it there. The job market/employment could be better in Pensacola, but it's still home. It's almost always sunny, the beaches are beautiful (a huge tourist attraction), and it's so rich with history.
I moved here not to long ago, it's my second time. It's a fun, sunny state. Beaches are not too far. There are always things to do you will never get bored. It's a great place to live once you can get use to the humidity we have sometimes. I love it here, and it's a place where I wouldn't mind raising my son.
Pensacola is not really known for having a huge amount of major crimes, such as murder. It also depends on the area of the city you live in whether or not you would say if the crime/safety is not a big issue.
