Warrenton is a lovely town to live in. It is small, but the people here are amazing and very kind. There is a spot called Old Town where a bunch of shops and restaurants reside, and it makes for a lot of fun! There are also lots of parades and a farmer's market every Saturday. There is a lot of history in Warrenton as well. There are a lot of historic sites that people can see, like the Courthouse or the Old Jail. But the best thing about Warrenton is the community. It is diverse, tight-knit, and a great place to raise a family.
Warrenton is a small-town feel with a big city neighbor- Washington D.C.. It's the connecting point between Northern Virginia and the foothills of the popular Shenandoah Mountains. Before the current pandemic, I would enjoy walks down Mainstreet admiring the stone cobbled sidewalks and the friendly faces greeting me with a warm Southern smile. Warrenton is in the heart of Virginia, so it contains the best of both worlds; It has the Southern amicable atmosphere with a New England style. The nightlife is something that could use a little TLC, but for the quite early-birds, it's certainly something to be admired.
Warrenton Va, I moved here almost 12 years ago. I grew up living in Warrenton for most of my life. As a kid I loved it. Warrenton was the cliche of a small town in the movies. We had excess to ice cream trucks going by ours homes, a community pool less than a mile away, and multiple playgrounds for kids. I always felt safe here in my small town. Warrenton was home to around 9,000 people with a 5 mile radius and located about an hour from DC. Warrenton went from being a happy safe place to a place I didn’t want to live in anymore as I got older. Recently within the past years we have gotten a lot more crime in the area, 5 murders within the last 3 years. We are in a county known for drug addictions mainly heroine. I don’t feel safe walking by myself anymore because you never know what you’ll run into. We have much more police out patrolling now which is weird, something none of us are used too.I will be moving out of Warrenton after college for my safety.
