I love this town with everything I have in me. The community is incredible. You become really close with your neighbors, and those who live around you. The friends you meet at the corner store, the church, or even the local Christmas tree farm are ones for life. Not only that, but it's gorgeous. A very small town, definitely in the woods, but it's so beautiful. The fresh air and the fowers in the summer, or watching the snowfall in the winter. Either way, it's a place to fall in love with. Everyone knows everyone, which is really sweet. There are many different outdoor attractions nearby, such as waterfalls and state parks. Warren is a perfect little town that I have loved growing up in.
Warren is right in the center of everywhere you would want to go in Litchfield County. It has its own private town beach on lake Waramaug and is fifteen minutes from Mohawk ski mountain. Nearby are are hiking trails, restaurants, festivals, lakes, and great independent shops.
I moved to Warren 10 years ago from NYC. Its the place where I plan to retire. The taxes are cheap, the properties are on at least 2 acres . The people are all very friendly. It is not more than 12 miles to great shopping. I feel very safe here and my neighbors are all friendly and in any situation come out to help you in need.
