I don’t live in Wallingford but I love to visit. I’m a New Englander who has moved away and I love to come back and visit New England towns. Wallingford offers great restaurants, friendly people, and something to do for everyone. The library is beyond compare. If you’re a reader or even a technology-lover, visit this library. Very advanced with helpful personnel. In autumn I enjoy the apple picking and visiting the Wallingford Victorian Inn just for pictures! Next time I’ll stay. If you live here count your blessings!
Wallingford is a small town where most people know each other. In the center of town, there are multiple restaurants and dessert places that people enjoy. Choate Rosemary Hall is very close to the center of town, and its students are known to enjoy these restaurants. There are two public high schools in Wallingford: Lyman Hall, and Sheehan. They are rivalry schools and play against each either during all of their sports. Every year, over 5,000 people come to watch the powderpuff game, where the senior girls play football against each other and the senior boys cheerlead. Overall, their highschool sports are very good. Multiple teams make their SCC and state tournaments every year. Last year, Lyman Hall won against Sheehan in the hockey state championship. There are not many activities for people to do in Wallingford, teenagers find themselves driving around for fun or going to Walmart. Wallingford is a friendly town with a safe, family-friendly environment.
Wallingford is a very nice Connecticut suburban town. It has the charm of a great New England community with easy access to major metropolitan areas; the town offers great access to two interstates and a commuter rail line. Great public and private schools with a wide array of amenities all make Wallingford an attractive place to live and raise a family. The real estate is well priced with a wide variety of small, medium, and large to estate-sized homes. The mill rate is low relative to most of Connecticut and the town has its own electric company. The East Side of town is more developed with many beautiful estates that overlook the vineyards and countryside which offer beautiful, breathtaking views and sunsets. The crime rate is low and the town boasts many outdoor spaces that are well maintained.
