Walkertown is an interesting place to live with a small town feel. For the most part, the commute inside of the town is not bad. However, getting to and from Winston-Salem can be a bit of a challenge due to the continuing road construction along Business Forty and many of the back roads. With that being said however, their are many interesting places to go in Winston-Salem. As far as Walkertown goes, their are also a few stores that are unique. Also, many of the people here are wonderful and are willing to help you if needed.

Walkertown, though little, it is diverse. There is an overwhelming sense of comradery and "Southern Hospitality" as well as a diverse atmosphere, which is hard to find in other locations. The school system, overall, is decent. The middle and high school are developing as it is still young, however, the teachers and community are incredibly supportive of the school and its students, as well as their successes. Something personally, I would like to see change, is the organization. While diversity is modern and necessary, organization is also important. A way this can be fixed is simply by a more connected form of citywide management. They can do this through newsletters and more public activities. Overall, my experience living in this area for 12 years has been a pleasant and rewarding experience.
My experience with Walkertown, NC has been a pleasant and convenient one. Walkertown is beginning to boom with both big and small business expanding rapidly in the is small, but exponentially growing town. The job market is especially doing well, and that is marked by an expanding real estate market with new houses being built around the area. Everyday people have also begun to invest in the growing markets of the area as they grow and sell crops, making much of the produce that can be bought at the grocery store cheaper. With the up and comer Walkertown is and the growing job opportunities that there are, Walktertown is the place to be.
