Wakefield is a quiet and friendly town. The lake view is very beautiful. The small shops in the area are very welcoming and the food is great.

Overall, Wakefield is a great family-oriented community. It is a wonderful place to raise children. With the safety of a small town, you will have to drive at least 15 miles to go to the store.

I have lived in Wake field for almost a decade now. The Army stationed my dad to Fort Riley and my parents fell in love with the small town vibe. The school is K-12th grade and the teachers truly care about the well being and success of students. Fort Riley is the main source of jobs in the area, I know that many would see this as a negative, but it is nice to know that when you leave work you are completely leaving it behind. The town is very clean and the people really care about their community, just come down to the Annual Birthday Bash and you can see how much love and care is offered in the town of Wakefield, Kansas.

This is a wonderful family oriented small town. We have lived in several states and another country. If you like small towns, this is an amazing place to raise a family. The town is right next to the lake and now has a Dollar General.
