Waitsfield Reviews

I was born in Vermont, raised in Warren (the next town over). When I was in junior high I moved to Massachusetts to live with my father. After graduating high school I moved back to Vermont, then back to Massachusetts. I repeated doing so multiple times until I realized that my heart and soul belong in Waitsfield with the green mountains and the Mad River that flows through the Mad River Valley.

The greatest part about Waitsfield is that it is a small town, you cannot go anywhere without seeing someone you know. We joke about how the sidewalks 'roll up' around 9 pm, meaning that everything in town closes around that time. We have no stoplights here, which is very nice, except for fall foliage season when all the leaf peepers come to visit, or when the ski area is open during winter.

I recommend Waitsfield as a place to visit for anyone looking to connect with nature. In the end, it was the mountains, rivers, and small-town living that brought me home time and time again.
