Waimea is a wonderful place to take the family, friends, or just yourself. The city is right next to the beach. There is also is a beautiful cliff side abundant with shrubbery. Not only do you have a beautiful view of the ocean but also there is so much cultural influences. Although there are many different races, there is mostly a mix between Polynesians and Asian tourist. Because of the multiple military bases there are so many different backgrounds, religions, and races. There is also a large abundance of food influences. From sea food, fried foods, Asian cuisine, even Mexican, there are all types of amazing food. Not only is the view while your in Waimea, but also on the way scenery like you have never seen in your life land that looks like it has never been touched by man. Waimea is one of the most amazing places I have ever had the honor of being able to visit and live close to there.

I live in a small cowboy town by Mauna Kea, the tallest mountain in the world. The temperatures drop the lowest on the island here because of elevation and our surroundings. I also go to one of the best schools on the island, but not many people care for my school because of its reputation and the students and stereotypes that are placed on our shoulders. I would not want to live here again when I come home to visit after college, but to visit and see family members would be one of the only reasons I would come back. This island is expensive and so are its standards.
There is always some unusual activity going on either in the town, at someone's house, or even at the schools. Drugs, shoulder-tagging, drugs on campus, OD, etc. Nothing out of the ordinary. Sometimes we'll have scammers go through the neighborhoods, trying to "raise money for fundraisers". But other than that, the police are very good at doing their job and keeping everyone safe.
