Pros: No crime, if any. Beautiful scenery. If you like to go apple picking there’s Indian Ladder Farms. If you like to hike there’s Thacher Park. About a ten minute drive from Albany/shops/etc. Not convenient for walking to stores but for driving, yes. The school is okay. Good test scores, some good teachers (if they didn’t grow up here). Has cons.
Cons: VERY small town vibe. People are not very friendly, and are not social unless your family has been there for generations and already know each other. Moved here a little over ten years ago from the south, and still considered outsiders by neighbors and classmates. The attitude here is passed on for generations. The school tolerates bullying and turns the other cheek to maintain a good image (as of a couple years ago, hopefully that’s changed). Also not a business friendly town. Pushed Stewarts out of here.

Voorheesville is a good town for families. With great public schools and a loving community, the village has a thriving community. The small town welcomes all with open arms!
Personally I enjoy small town living, and it's nice knowing my fellow students first and last names.
