Growing up in Virginia Beach, I personally don't think it's very fun. I've done everything possible, but for anyone who is visiting it is a great destination. There is a water park, at the local aquarium there is a ropes course, and of course the great Atlantic ocean that is easily accessible. The ocean front also has lots of shops and places to eat and away from the beach is our town center that has more shops and even more places to eat! Our mall has just about every store anyone could ask for, such as a Dick's Sporting Goods, Barnes and Noble, JC Penny, Macy', etc.
Virginia Beach has something fun to do for everyone. There are museums such as the Chrysler Museum of Art, Nauticus, and the Virginia Marine Science Museum. It has a beautiful boardwalk that appeals to both locals and tourists with restaurants everywhere! Everyone can find something they like here. The community helps each other, everyone is nice to each other, and everyone takes pride in the beauty of the area. From the ocean, to the state parks, to a simple drive through the farmland area of the city, there is a little something for everyone. I love living here and I am so proud to call Virginia Beach my home.
