My town is small and rather quiet, but serves as a fairly close-knit community that has several town celebrations throughout the year, such as a Fourth of July festival that is held in the center square with many tractor-pulled rides driven by local farmers, another celebration is the Virden Picnic, an annual meeting at the square where carnival rides are brought in. The Picnic also provides the Miss Virden pageant, and several games and stalls that donate to charity.
Overall, it's not such a bad town. On many of the nice days, though, smoke fills the air because of all the people burning leaves. I avoid going outside on those days, and I also avoid certain areas due to the lack of a sense of safety.
Virden is a very small town with a close group of people. If you ever visit this town, you will realize that many people know of a lot of people. There are not a lot of things to do around there because it is so small. There is a few restaurants and a few hangout places. It's not a place with a lot of job opportunity. If you're looking for a new place to try and grow your family or business, I wouldn't recommend this as a great place.
