With more housing developments being built, its getting more crowded. That being said, there are great Jewish day schools, and plenty of kosher restaurants. If you prefer quite, there are quieter edges of Monsey to move to that are cheaper than the center of town.
I've never had any safety issues. Kuddos to our local police force!
This is a great town to raise children because it is suburban and they can spend time in the outdoors. The town is very safe, and therefore there is an added security for parents.
