Vineyard Haven Reviews

I love where I grew up, very quiet community, friendly people.
I enjoyed living in vineyard haven because it is easy access to the bus and very close to everything easy to get around. The only thing I can say I dislike is the fact we don't have any attractions except movies and food

I live on an Island near Cape Cod, MA called Marthas Vineyard. It an island that survives and even thrives on tourism. So residents here end up experiencing crowded exciting summers and lonely winters. There is a quite small permanent population of around 10,000. It's expensive to live here, as a result of tourism, so there is an internal struggle that not every one the outside sees. A lot of people expect a resident of Marthas Vineyard to live the high life, like the Kennedy's, Obama's and other famous families you see vacationing in Martha's Vineyard. The reality is that the large income inequality has created a housing problem.

Although I loved growing up in Martha's Vineyard, where you almost never have to worry about any trouble reaching you, (many people don't even lock their cars and homes for that matter). I do not see much of a future for myself in the area. Martha's Vineyard will always be there and I only dream of living out my retirement days there, but my professional life has no place there. Most of the industry here is limited to construction, fishing, and restaurants. As an aspiring engineer, the city life is much more suitable for me
