Vineland Reviews
Rating 3.28 out of 5 138 reviews
Vineland is a fantastic town. Depending on where you live in the town, your experience may differ. If you're in the downtown area, there's more of an urban feel and crime can be an issue. However, if you live in East Vineland, it's a whole different story. It's a beautiful, walkable suburb with well-kept homes, farms, parks, and small shopping centers. Crime is very low in this area, which makes it a great place to live. You can find a variety of homes here, from reasonably priced ranchers to moderately priced new homes. The community is very diverse and friendly, with many professionals living in the area. There are also plenty of amenities nearby, such as restaurants, coffee shops, parks, the Cumberland Mall, Health clubs, theaters, Inspira Hospital, great schools and a new golf course. It has a 30 minute commute by car to the Jersey shore. Overall, Vineland is definitely worth checking out!
The school districts in Vineland are terrible. They've completely defunded summer education and are now passing every student regardless of grades, attendance, behavior, etc. The whole area is disgusting and there isn't much to do locally. I grew up doing everything in Vineland and my mother works as a teacher in a Vineland Middle School. I do not feel that her safety is secured working in this district. Everywhere I go in Vineland, I do not feel safe. Overall, the city needs help and a change in government.
Vineland overall is a nice place to live. I wouldn’t live in town. I lived on Montrose st. My husband and I had a situation going on in our lives. His family lives in Vineland. So I didn’t have a choice. But there are outskirts and anywhere from directly in town. My son’s school ,and the preschool is excellent. But area surrounding it not so much. I was walking to the school, and a young adult male tried to sell me drugs. This was right at the school! I keep walking so disappointed. Also there was an issue with the property outside the school. There was needles, and beer cans in the grass area. So the kids had to play in the enclosed playground. The school, and preschool has a campus like setting. So it is open. But there are locked fences surrounding the elementary school. I am not a city girl. So I never grew up in that setting. Overall again this doesn’t go for Vineland itself. Just certain areas you may not want to rent it buy a home.
