Villa Rica is a vibrant and tranquil small town with a treasured history to tell. The people who call this community home are among the most cordial and considerate people you will ever have the honor of knowing or greeting. Unbeknownst to most people, the city was one of the first Gold Rush sites in the country. A museum located just outside the city limits pays homage to that eventful era. With big box retail chains and corporations choosing to establish their factories and stores here, Villa Rica is becoming an influential player in the economic vitality of the Metro Atlanta region. The city is also known for being the birthplace of legendary Gospel singer and songwriter Thomas Dorsey, the Father of Black Gospel music.

All around, a great Town! Great people, food, and local love for the High school sports teams! I would not change anything about this lovely little town.
Villa Rica is a positive environment to grow up in, and neither I nor our parents have ever had a concern for our safety. The police are active in our community without being overbearing. The neighborhood communities are well taken care of. There is a nice balance of creative small businesses and convenient chains. More local events would be nice, as there is a beautiful amphitheater right in the heart of downtown Villa Rica that is hardly ever utilized.
