Overall, Verona is not a bad community to raise a family inexpensively. The commute to the city and nearby communities is wonderfully convenient! I have lived here and operated a company for over five years. The community is great. In need of better education, only con.
Quiet neighborhood in Penn Hills that is still convenient to Pittsburgh and the major corridors like Route 28 and I-76. The schools are okay and taxes are high, but the home prices are still competitive for the area compared to Pittsburgh.
I recently moved into my father's home here in Verona. It is within excellent distance to major locations, like shopping and restaurants. It is even a short commute to downtown Pittsburgh, which is wonderful. The little neighborhood we live in is great. The people are friendly and the streets are quiet.
