I wouldn't want to move away from this town anytime soon. My experience here has been fantastic. Vandalia has friendly and helpful residents and is a great place to raise children. We have a movie theater, bowling alley, a public pool, and a lake to keep you entertained. Schools in Vandalia are okay in my opinion. It is difficult to find amazing teachers for a small town, but we still get the basic education we need and the teachers do their best. The teachers are caring and always put the students first. Overall, I'd say Vandalia is an excellent place to live.

I have lived in Vandalia most of my life. I went to school here, left for college and then returned to work here and raise my family. It is a great town with a small town feel and lots of Illinois history.
