Van Buren Reviews

Overall, I would say Van Buren is a good place to visit. Van Buren has a lot of pretty scenery, especially during the summer. Considering we are home to one of the largest natural springs in the United States. Van Buren is also a small river town with good local foods. One of our more popular seasonal places to eat is the Jolly Cone. The Jolly Cone is an old-time restaurant that serves all kinds of food from burgers and shrimp all the way to ice cream sundaes. In addition to the Jolly Cone, we are also home to the Blue Heron restaurant if you are looking for a nicer sit-down place to eat. In fact, the Blue Heron Restaurant is currently being rebuilt after burning down in 2021. Overall, I would say Van Buren is a great time to visit. If considering a visit to the small town of Van Buren, I would suggest visiting during the summer to get the best experience!
I've lived here my entire life, it's a tourist town in the summer. We have the Current River which is great for floating and people come from all over to see it. We locals lose all phone service during the summer because of the influx of people. It's a beautiful place to live but most of the population is older people who refuse to see the world is changing and accept people for who they are. A lot of the people my age leave and don't come back. It's a charming town when you're here at the right time of year, Christmas has all the lights and a parade. We have a farmers market in the summer/fall and a fall craft festival that was grown in the last couple years. Like everywhere, there are things that people love and things that people hate. I have lived here my whole life and there are things I don't like that people who visit love.
