Although there isn’t all too much to do in terms of entertainment in the immediate area, there are a good amount of restaurants and great people. Along with the good things in VA, there are also major towns like Mckinny, Sherman, and Plano in the surrounding areas that all yield nice entertainment and good foods. I’m addition to this, the school system is effective and has one of the highest graduation rates in Texas.

This is a small town right in the middle of every other large city in North Texas. Developing and ever growing, Van Alstyne is a pleasant place to call home with respectable drive times to major cities such as Sherman and Dallas while at the same time containing the rustic country charm that comes with small towns. Even better is the town sits right upon highway 75 with easy access to the road itself.
I've grown up in this small town for my entire life. In this small town, everyone knows everyone. Friday night football games are all that high school students look forward to, as well as walking across that stage and getting out of here. I love this town and everything about it.
