Utica is a great place to live and raise a family, and is founded on religious. The cost of living is affordable; however, the job market is declining as well as businesses in the area. We are in need of new housing development and community services organization. We need leadership for our community that encompass education and experience in economic development and public policy.
My experience living in Utica was a good experience I like the way people introduce you to new people and how quiet the is. Its a small town but very unique in its own way. There aren't many grocery stores but you do have stores that you can shop at. If you like attending Church you have plenty to choose from. And, you're family from the time you walk in and take a seat. Everywhere you go it has a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. The things I would like to see change would be: More businesses in the small town of Utica, a variety of grocery stores to choose from, and a place where children can go to after school, on the weekends, and holidays. Where they can get any type of assistance from homework to personal things that's going on around them. So that they want have to be in the streets or making the mistakes that they will later on regret.
I’ve lived in Utica my entire life. Everyone is family, and everyone knows each other. Utica needs more business establishments to maintain.
