University Park is the perfect mix. It is affluent, but not as flashy and gaudy as Highland Park. It is very safe at all hours. It is super close to Uptown and extremely easy to access all parts of Dallas in under 20 minutes even in traffic.
One of my favourite parts is that it actually has a “pulse”. I used to live in Bluffview where you don’t know if your neighbours are alive or dead. It felt scarily quiet, and I didn’t know anybody there. UP will have people walking their dogs, parties, and other events always. Also it has great shopping and restaurants.

HPISD school district. Small municipality with own Fired, EMS, and Police with terrific, fast response! Small town feel yet minutes to downtown, North Park and the Dallas Tollway!
Growing up in University Park was one of the best opportunities I could have asked for. The Park Cities are clean, child-friendly and organized. With so many restaurants, shopping this community is truly heaven on earth. Residents of the community send their children to school at one of the 5 elementary schools that fed into HP Middle School and HP High School. This close-knit community is full of spirit, love, and support!
