Unionville is such a great place to raise a family; I have lived here for the 18 years that I have been alive and I have grown up with a great surrounding community that is very kind and friendly to my family. I believe that Unionville has been a great place to grow up. I think one thing that could be changed about this place is the acceptance; people are quick to judge and oftentimes do not accept people with different views. I am a firm believer that people should do what they want without fear of judgement. I would also like to see more diversity around this town, so that more residents are exposed to the different cultures. I feel that people of different cultures do not move here because of the notoriety of our town for being hesitant to accept different cultures. I could see myself raising a family here because of the great schooling and people, but not unless there were more accepting people.

This is a nice and safe area with many public schools to choose from. Public libraries, cities, gas stations, garage sales, and malls are all available. It is nice to be in the suburbs, but close to the city of Charlotte.
Everyone knows you in this community and you become a family. This is a small community and everyone is always here for you. If your house is in a fire, people will offer to let you stay in their homes until your home is fixed. People tend to live in this community their entire lives. It is a pet friendly community, everyone usually has a dog or a cat. In the community there is the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony in December with music and games and during the Fourth of July there is a parade.
