Overall, Union Park is nice. Great location, not too much traffic or crime. I'd mostly like to see the housing price decrease. With this area being a "college town" and some of the students having kids, renting an apartment for an average of $1700 for a 2/2 is the most disappointing part about the area.
Union Park is about a 5-10 min drive to University of Central Florida. The area is fairly nice and is not as packed as the west side of the city is. Prices of living may be a little more as rent is about $200-$300 more depending on the housing complex you choose. Overall the city of union park is peaceful, not as crowded and has a very laid back environment away from usual city distractions. There are tons of grade schools and walk in clinics, the nearest hospital is the Oviedo medical center which is about a 7 min drive. The city has about 3 Walmarts, 2 Publix's and countless other groceries stores for your shopping convenience.
I like how calm the neighborhood is and the people around here are very nice. I also love how I am around by a lot of shopping areas and different kinds of stores. However, the way people drive in this area is very crazy so I wish there were more police officers observing the traffic and some areas need more traffic lights such as my area. I live on rouse road and it is hard to get out of my neighborhood. That is my only problem with the neighborhood.
