Union City Reviews
Union city is incredibly dirty is stinks due to the Purina dog food plant smells from Fairburn. The people are fairly decent overall. Nowhere to eat besides fast food restaurants. Very few parks and recreation. Poor quality public school education. Very few grocery stores with limited supplies. Very affordable housing. Convenient/ Quick access to highway 85 if going towards Atlanta or other neighboring cities for work or leisure. Horrible traffic on Jonesboro Road. Not much Diversity at all most ethnicities other than African American just pass through to get gas in Union City on their way to Fairburn, Fayette, Newnan, etc.. Numerous job opportunities in fast food not corporate friendly.
I love how Union city is filled with people from the black community. It gives all of us a chance to come together as a unity. I've been living in Union city for 18 years and out of those years I have been exposed to many things. Every month, there would always be a meeting where the neighborhood would discuss ways to stop the violence that goes on the neighborhood. Some days there would be police cars, fire trucks, and even Ambulances speeding down the neighborhood to save someone. But situations like that are extremely rare.
Just moved into the area, so far so good. Overall its pretty quiet where I live. Folks keep their properties well maintained and new homes are being built around the corner from us. Its close to 85 so we can be in ATL in 25 - 30 minutes.
