This is a decent Kansas town. The people are super friendly and the cost of living is very affordable. The public schools are okay for a town this small. However, this town needs more stores and restaurants. Ulysses is a minority-majority town and most of the people are Hispanic so most of the restaurants are Mexican. Except for franchises, this town has no American restaurants. Diversity is very limited. So is nightlife activities. Jobs are also super hard to find.
I love Ulysses because it is a great small rural community where everyone knows everyone. I believe in a small town like Ulysses, more relationships form. Everyone in this community are very friendly and kind.
Ulysses is a pretty good town to raise a family in. My only complaint is that there is no soccer team in school. Other than that it's decent town.
